Monsoon 2016 - The Monsoon Strikes Back
This is just a mini short time-lapse film taken back on June 28th - July 1st. Since then the monsoon has been a nonsoon with almost no storms across Arizona. The first two clips are from atop Humboldt Mountain, one of my favorite places!
The next three clips we taken in North Phoenix on the day we had a tornado warning in Buckeye. You can clearly see the storm rotating, which is quite unusual especially for Phoenix.
The next clip is Eloy and shows the beginning of a dust storm. It wasn't big by any means but seeing the outflow stir up the dust is always a great site to behold.
The final clips are of the Superstition Mountains and some lightning in Mesa along the Beeline Highway.
It was great to get out and see some storms in Arizona, hoping next week plays out as advertised and the storms return to Arizona in full force.
